Care instructions for your new piece

We exclusively use all natural premium finishes made by The Real Milk Paint Company.

Finish quality makes all the difference. Our pieces are intended to bring year’s of enjoyment and in many cases passed on for generations. We considered several options before partnering with RMPCo. Ultimately, we chose RMPCo. because they best aligned with our finish requirements, quality standards and vision for our brand.

Our Personalized Name Puzzles are made to order. So we needed a Child-Safe finish with a short cure time that doesn’t sacrifice the quality of the finish. RMPCo’s Cutting Board Oil is the perfect solution. This finish leaves the wood feeling soft and luxurious while leaving a subtle natural sheen.

Name Puzzles and Alphabet Boards

    • Do not wash in dishwashing machine or submerse in water.

    • To clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. After multiple washes, we recommend reapplying the Cutting Board oil.

    • If your item starts to appear dull, reapply the Cutting Board oil.

    • To reapply RMP’s Cutting Board oil:

      1. Ensure surface being treated is clean and free of dirt or debris.

      2. Shake the Cutting Board oil bottle before pouring contents onto the surface.

      3. Pour a small amount of the oil on to surface.

      4. Rub oil into surface by hand or using a clean lint free cloth. (an old T-shirt works great)

      5. Let the oil sit on surface for 10 to 15 minutes.

      6. Buff with a clean lint free cloth to remove access and restore sheen.

      7. Enjoy your newly treated item.

Real Milk Paint Company’s Hemp Oil finish is a highly durable water-resistant finish.  If your item begins to appear dry or has a lack luster appearance it may be restored using RMPs Wood Wax. A maintenance coat of RMPs Wood Wax is also recommended if you would like additional water-resistance.

  • Do not wash in dishwashing machine or submerse in water.

    • To clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth and a mild detergent.

    • Rinse lightly under running water.  DO NOT over wash.

    • Allow to air dry with pocket facing down

    • Ensure surface being treated is clean and free of dirt or debris.

    • Using a clean rag or old t-shirt, dip the cloth into the Wood Wax and rub onto the surface until evenly coated.

    • Allow the Wood Wax to remain on the surface for 10 to 15 minutes.

    • Buff off excess Wood Wax using another clean rag or t-shirt.

    • Allow piece to cure for 5 to 7 days before using.
